Zones vs Groups

Zones vs Groups

What are Zones?

Zones are a collection of Beacons that are related to a Place and can act as an Experience Trigger.

What are Groups?

What are the differences?

  1. Zones can only add beacons, while groups can add both geofences and beacons.
  2. Zones do not allow other zones to contain duplicate beacons. So Beacon 1 in Zone A is not available in Zone B. Groups allow for sharing resources between groups (Beacon 1 can be in Group A, B, C...).
