Zones vs Groups
What are Zones?
Zones are a collection of Beacons that are related to a Place and can act as an Experience Trigger.
What are Groups?
Groups are a collection of Geofences, Beacons or both and can act as an Experience Trigger.
What are the differences?
- Zones can only add beacons, while groups can add both geofences and beacons.
- Zones do not allow other zones to contain duplicate beacons. So Beacon 1 in Zone A is not available in Zone B. Groups allow for sharing resources between groups (Beacon 1 can be in Group A, B, C...).
