The Analytics section in the MOCA Console has a variety of performance measures that allow you to capture insights of your user base.
App Analytics Reports - Activity:
This section displays:
- A chart that can be configured to be Area, Line or Column. This shows, by hour/day/month a breakdown of the metric you select. Metrics would be active users, new users, returning users, logged-in users and sessions.
- Total Active Users - Total active users during the defined period.
- Total New Users - Total active users during the defined period.
- Total Returning Users - Total active users during the defined period.
- Total Logged Users - Total active users during the defined period.
- Total Sessions - Total active users during the defined period.
- Sessions/user - Total active users during the defined period.
- A table that breaks down the selected dates into days and shows you percentages of active users, new users, returning users and sessions.
Chart:
The chart displays the following metrics for the date range and breakdown:
- Active users - Active users detected during the selected date range. An active user can appear various times during the range selected.
- New users - Users that did not exist before the selected date range and appeared during the range. They are counted individually.
- Returning users - Users that are not new and are active during the date range. Can be understood as Active users minus New Users.
- Logged-in users - Users that are logged-in during the date range. One user can be counted various times.
- Sessions - Number of times the App has been opened during the selected date range.
There are situations in which the data from the chart and the data from the boxes that contain the total active/new/returning/logged users will not match. Here's an explanation of why:
The Total Active/New/Returning/Logged users are counted individually. Once they are broken down into hour/day/month divisions, only New Users will remain the same (as they are also counted individually).
