What are MOCA Segments?
Segments are a powerful tool to create audience segments based on their attributes. They allow for conditional operators such as greater than, matches or is equal to and by using All/Any you can form complex Binary trees.
In order to create a Segment please follow these steps:
1. First step is to choose between All (AND) and Any (OR) in order to need all the conditions to be true, or only one of them.
2. Now you can explore our vast variety of properties that can be used to target the adequate segment. Examples are: language, country, carrier, device model, app version, time zone and custom tags that greatly expand the customization of the segment.
3. After the property is selected, a number of operators can be used for the property type selected. For example numbers have a greater than / lower than type of operators while text has a contains / matches type of operator:
4. Finally you can define what attribute the operator will allow you to use. In this example we use a string and the "contains" operator for users that have tags that contain the Madrid text:
You can make nested statements combining logical conditions, different properties, various operators and many attributes. To do so you click on the + sign and configure the new row at will. Example:
Using the adequate conditions, properties, operators and attributes you can select the exact targeted segment with precision. Don't forget to save your segment!
